Trailblazing Queer Beauty Figures: Celebrating their Impact in the Beauty Industry

To continue our pride celebration here at Aeva Beauty, we have three queer beauty figures that have made an impact! It’s very important to diversify the beauty space and as a black-owned brand, we support a diverse space where everyone feels welcome. These figures are amazing creatives that have created their special lane in this community. To hear more about innovative, beauty figures that are changing the game continue reading!

Jules Rosa

Jules Rosa is one of the fiercest divas you’ll come across on TikTok. With her incredible laugh and full-proof makeup routine, she is a force to be reckoned with. Jules (@joolieannie) is an Afro-Latina Bratz doll collector with over 20 years of experience and a beauty influencer. Jules has blown up on TikTok for showcasing her amazing dolls and being able to identify almost any unknown beauty products that were asked of her. She has only started her career as a beauty influencer since the end of 2022 but she is here to stay! Jules has been a breath of fresh air and has created a community of fierce divas that radiate positive energy and we love her for it.

RuPaul

Emmy Award winner RuPaul (@rupaulofficial) is considered one of the most famous people in the drag community. RuPaul began his career by performing in Atlanta and then moving to New York City. In New York City he performed on MTV and go-go bars. With his 90s interviews and eclectic personality, he was destined to be an icon. Drag Race started in 2009 and showcases drag queens from all walks of life competing in front of the legends, RuPaul. Because of the fabulous performances from RuPaul and the Queens, Drag Race has been nominated over 200+ times for awards. RuPaul hosts, produces, and judges the reality tv show. He has become a global phenomenon who even has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Nikkie Tutorials

Nikkie De Jager can be identified as one of the first beauty influencers on YouTube. When an influencer wasn't a known profession, Nikkie was giving the girls looks to recreate. Her YouTube career dates to 14 years ago when she was just a young girl showing off her makeup skills. Nikki is most known for her “The Power of Makeup” makeup tutorial which has an outstanding 40+ million views. She continuously flips the negative narrative about makeup and shows the true beauty and creativity behind doing makeup. After reclaiming her truth in 2020 we have been able to see the powerful woman that she is.

We are loving this inclusive beauty space that these creators have created. We will celebrate the queer community during pride month and all year around. Here at Aeva Beauty, Every Pride Month, we donate portions of our proceeds to an LGBTQIA+ organization that amplifies and supports the community!
